At 23, I founded my first company. There was no playbook, no mentor, and no outside funding; just the responsibility to make it work. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to learn by doing.
Over the next 15 years, I built the company’s operational and technology foundations from the ground up, growing it into a 40-person organization. Today, it continues to run successfully, even after I relocated halfway across the world to Canada.
That journey taught me what it takes to build a business: systems that hold information, standardize the work, and keep running whether or not the founder is in the room.

My Philosophy
I believe women shouldn’t have to become the operating system of their own business.
As a business grows and a team is built, the goal shouldn’t be for more and more of the business to depend on the founder. It should become more capable of operating without her involvement in every task, decision, and detail. That means building the right systems, processes, information and tools around the business so the team can work confidently and the business can keep moving.
That’s what it means to build a business that’s Built to Run. Not a business where the founder is absent, but one where she is no longer required for everything to happen. She gets to spend less time keeping the business running and more time leading it, growing it, and doing the work only she can do.
